Po 25 latach od pierwszego Porozumienia Rektorów uczelni współtworzących Akademię »Artes Liberales« (maj 1999) Akademia zakończyła swoją działalność w grudniu 2024.
Misja Akademii »Artes Liberales« na poziomach kształcenia I oraz II stopnia skończyła się w roku 2013, a na poziomie III stopnia w roku 2023 obroną ostatniego z 19 doktoratów w ramach Międzyuczelnianego Programu Interdyscyplinarnych Studiów Doktoranckich AAL (MPISD AAL). Kontynuacja Programu MPISD AAL nie była możliwa w świetle zmian ustawy o szkołach doktorskich.
Nakreślony w 2022 roku przez grupę roboczą przy Radzie AAL Projekt programowy AAL dla doktorantów szkół doktorskich uczelni stowarzyszonych w Akademii »Artes Liberales« nie spotkał się z oczekiwanym zainteresowaniem szkół doktorskich. Próby wypracowania przez Radę AAL V kadencji nowych warunków Porozumienia w sprawie przyszłych kierunków działalności Akademii nie przyniosły zgody wszystkich współpracujących dotychczas uczelni (dwie z nich zdecydowały się formalnie wypowiedzieć Porozumienie o utworzeniu AAL, a jedna taki ruch zapowiedziała). W tej sytuacji po ćwierćwieczu funkcjonowania Akademia »Artes Liberales« zakończyła ostatecznie swoją misję na szczeblu instytucjonalnym. Liczymy na kontynuowanie misji Akademii w gronie jej Absolwentek i Absolwentów.
Dziękujemy Wszystkim, którzy wnieśli swój wkład w powstanie i rozwój Akademii »Artes Liberales« na wszystkich trzech poziomach kształcenia!

Twenty-five years since the first Agreement of Rectors of the universities forming the »Artes Liberales« Academy was signed (May 1999), in December 2024 the Academy ended its operations.
The mission of the »Artes Liberales« Academy (AAL) at the first- and second-cycle level of studies ended in 2013, and the third-cycle (PhD) studies ended in 2023 with the defense of the last of 19 dissertations within the AAL Inter-University Program of Interdisciplinary PhD Studies (MPISD AAL). In the light of amendments to the law concerning doctoral schools, it became impossible to continue the MPISD AAL program.
The AAL Program Project for PhD Students of the Doctoral Schools at Universities Forming the »Artes Liberales« Academy (AAL), drawn up in 2022 by a working group of the AAL Board, did not meet with the expected interest of doctoral schools. The attempts made by the AAL Board of the 5th term of office to develop new terms of the agreement concerning the directions of the Academy’s future activities did not win the approval of all the universities involved at the time (two decided to officially withdraw from the AAL formation agreement, and one announced it would do so). In this situation, after a quarter of a century of operations, the »Artes Liberales« Academy definitively ended its
mission at the institutional level. We are counting on the mission of the Academy being continued by its graduates.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the launch and development of the »Artes Liberales« Academy in all three education cycles.
